Dates for placement tests and course registration for winter semester 2026/27

If you would like to attend one or more language courses during winter semester 2026/27 and improve not only your language skills but also your intercultural understanding, please note the following:

Courses

The course catalog for the Language Centre will be released in campo course by course. The range of courses that can be taken alongside your degree program is available under the heading General electives including key qualifications and language courses > Language courses (according to language). The range of courses integrated into degree programs is accessible via the tree structure of your degree program. Please note that changes to the courses on offer are possible until the beginning of the lecture period. Please therefore check all the information again before the semester begins.

Assessing ability

You may need to take a placement test to assess your ability before registering for a course. The dates for the placement tests in Erlangen and Nuremberg are available on StudOn. You can register as follows:

  • Placement tests in Erlangen: Registration opens September 23, placement tests available from September 24.
  • Placement tests in Nuremberg: Registration opens September 23, placement tests available from October 5.

Please ensure you register for the placement tests in good time.

Course registration

The registration period for all courses and languages starts on September 23 at 12 noon and ends on October 14 at 5 pm.

Registration is via StudOn.
