As part of the smart-vhb funding 2019/20, the Language Centre has been granted €350,000 to create 166 multimedia-based units for Spanish, German, Italian and French. The Language Centre is continuing with the work it started in the first smart-vhb round, confirming its role as a pioneer in Germany for the digitalisation of teaching.

It is particularly worthy of mention that 19 institutions of higher education throughout Bavaria responded to the call for applications and a total of 828 units spread across all groups of subjects were awarded funding. This means that one in five of the units granted funding are based at our Language Centre.

Public praise came from the Bavarian Minister of Science Bernd Sibler.
