This service is aimed predominantly at members of FAU. However, anyone from outside the University can also apply. External tandem partners are assigned if not enough applicants can be found within FAU.
It is not always possible for a partner to be found. Your data will be deleted after 6 months. If you are still interested and haven’t found a suitable partner, please register again.
In the summer semester 2021, a tandem partner can only be found if you agree to only use electronic communication services or other means of telecommunication for tandem meetings in order to slow the spread of the current coronavirus pandemic.
Personal data will be saved. Your personal details are subject to data protection and will only be used within the FAU Language Centre for the purpose of allocating you a tandem partner. Your data is only shared with the persons assigned to be your learning partner. You cannot be assigned a tandem partner if you do not agree to your data being passed on to them. Data will not be forwarded to third parties or used in any other way. By sending the form you agree to the Language Centre saving your personal data in an electronic database belonging to FAU for the administrative purposes outlined above. Your consent can be revoked in writing at any time.
