Outside the lecture period, students on the preparatory semester courses have the opportunity to improve their language skills in German courses lasting four weeks. These courses prepare students for all aspects of the DSH examination and for studying in Germany. The courses complement the preparatory courses in the semester before and cover a total of 80 teaching hours, including 16 units in the language laboratory.

Students who are currently enrolled in preparatory courses. Depending on the level of proficiency, holiday courses are either aimed at preparing for the examination or as a continuation course for those who have to or want to continue with the DSH course in the following semester. Prospective students who have been admitted for the following semester and scholarship holders of the BAYHOST and BTHA programmes can be admitted to the course after taking a placement test.

The courses are held after the semester finishes, i.e. in February/March and August/September. More detailed information on class times and rooms will be sent to you by e-mail after course registration.
